I'm Back!

I. am. back.

Okay so I know it's only been a few weeks but WOW does it ever feel good to be blogging again. My whole routine has literally shifted and is completely different than it was a month ago. I started a full time job and moved out of my parents house into my own apartment (with a pretty great roommate) hint: it's my boyfriend πŸ™Š

So here's the run down:

If you didn't know I started working with Volvo Cars New Brunswick and Fredericton Mitsubishi as Media Coordinator. I get all of the pre-owned vehicle photography ready for the websites and I get to do all of our event photography. I also get to do some fun graphic stuff and work with our marketing manager! It's an amazing experience so far and it's so rewarding to have a job in my field right out of college (gives self high-five).

I am fiiiiinalllyyyyyyy living downtown! Yes it's so weird not having a car anymore but it's a short walk to central downtown and the exercise is actually really great and it feels really good to be out walking. I may even get a bicycle! There's a park right next to our building as well so I love that.

I'm starting to focus more on my blog. I'm working full time so doing all of the things can get exhausting and I don't want to overwhelm myself, so - I'm focusing a little bit more on me and my self-care. This means a little bit less photography and a little more me and blogging about my life and my day-to-day adventures. I have a couple of fun collaborations coming up so stay tuned for those to hit the blog!

Now that I'm back to a somewhat normal routine, I'm looking for brands to work/collab with!! I want to know your fave local companies: anything from home decor to skincare, to food and travel and office/stationary.

Get in touch with me here if you have any suggestions OR if you're a brand that wants to collab! Hollllaaaa at me!

A Few of my Favourite Things

Alright Summer, I see you. The sun is coming back and I couldn't be happier and I want to share a few of my fav summer pieces right now.

All of these looks from Wasted Fashion have me so pumped for summer.

I never think that I can wear dresses during summer. Idk why I think they can only be worn out to fancy events and on romantic dates but that's so not true. And there are so many cute summer dresses to be worn. Like these:

These two off the shoulder dresses are SO adorable and perfect for summer!!! I opted for the solid blue one because I'm really into blues lately and I feel really great in this colour. The off the shoulder style is so trendy right now and it's super obvious why - it's really light and breezy!!

I'm also really into yellows lately - especially mustard. I don't normally wear anything with patterns because I find those kinds of pieces usually clash with my tattoo, but I couldn't keep my hands off this one. Again, the off the shoulder is really in right now and it only shows a bit of my tattoo so it's not too clashy, I'm kinda into it.

For something a little more businessy/dressier I snagged this striped vneck dress. The material is really flattering and professional so I would love to pair this with a blazer. Also, love how this makes me look and I feel super confident in it!!

I also couldn't resist these Quay sunnies from Wasted Fashion, I've always wanted round lenses so when I saw these pretty much all of my dreams came true lol. I paired the sunnies with this blue dress - THESE. SLEEVES.

I love.

This tank is super simple and perfect for when I wanna look cute but am having an outfit crisis (which is 6/7 days in the week). The back of this tank is longer so it makes the piece a little bit different. Loooooove

And it looks good with jeans!!!

This other jean tank is perfect for both the beach and downtown. It's similar to the other tank but a little bit different and since I'm really in love with this material I love that I can wear similar shirts but still feel like I'm wearing a completely different look.

All of these pieces can be found at Wasted Fashion - if you haven't stopped in yet definitely take a look - there's so many amazing pieces. Also if you do, what are your fav pieces?? Lemme know!!

Happy Saturday everyone!

I wanted to give you all a few updates on my life/what ya gal has been up to. It feels like foreverrrrrr. I'm all finished with classes so I haven't been blogging as much. BUT I've got a whole lot planned and coming up.

So if you didn't know I started working with Wasted Fashion: this super cute boutique right in the heart of downtown. I'll be blogging looks that I'm in love with - I can't wait to share.

I got my 5 week touch up from Kyra aka the brow queen. I partnered with Kyra for a microblading session and I'm still so happy with my new brows! Check out my post on the whole thang here. For my touch up, I decided to go a bit thicker and I'm so happy I chose to. I feel super fierce and like I can literally take on the world. (Yeah, Kyra has the power to make you feel that way about yourself) Book with her, here

I accepted a full-time job with Volvo!!!! I'm ~Media Coordinator~ and I can't wait to start this chapter in my life - I'm really excited to be part of this team. I wish I could tell you all more buuuuut I can't right now, so stay tuned.

I signed a lease with my best friend!! I can't wait to share all kinds of posts about our new place. Jamie and I are super excited to move on June 1st, if you have any moving/packing tips, decorating ideas, and cute spots for home decor/furniture: LET. ME. KNOW. We need a bunch of stuff!

Sooo I'm done classes.. I'm graduating!!!!!! As bittersweet as it is, I'm so ready to walk across the stage and receive my diploma. It feels so good to work towards your passion and get a diploma for it. There is also a grad show at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery showcasing all the graduate work, including me! It's going to be such an honour having work presented at this art gallery. All I can say is.. holy s***. I shot my photographs for this exhibition yesterday with Addie at Silverwood Farms. Ella, the beautiful purebred Arabian was nothing short of incredible and Addie killed it as usual.

I am finally learning what it means to be a #girlboss. Now that I'm finished classes I feel like I can really focus on blogging and photography. I have a full time job in my craft and I couldn't be happier. I'm working with a lot of cool brands that feel so authentic to me - Modern Komfort, Envy, Wasted Fashion, Tilleul, Lou La Belle Skin Care - just to name a few.

I can't wait to elevate this blog and really take you along with me on this whole journey. It's gonna be good.

Hello Summer

KS Wasted Fashion-1.JPG

SO... I have a couple of well, life updates.

I kind of ~officially~ became an adult. If you didn't see on my facebook or instagram, I accepted a full-time job at Volvo Cars as Media Coordinator. I'll be blogging lots when I'm not working so expect lots of updates on here.

Second super cool life update:

My boyfriend Jamie and I signed a lease! We got this super cute apartment downtown right next to a park! After looking a lot of shitholes, I'm so excited to move into this place.

I'm really excited about this look. This dress is one of my all time fav pieces and is PERFECT FOR SUMMER. Ok ya the weather has been soo rainy and grey, but summer is right around the corner and I couldn't be more excited to blog about this.

I love the tie dye print and the colours are great to pair with any colourful staple accessory - there's literally so many options. Because I don't wear a lot of colour, my go-to look is always a neutral top and bottom and a purse that is bright and bold.

This. Blush. Jacket. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

I'm obsessed! It's perfect to throw on over the dress when it cools down in the evening. It's really light so it doesn't even feel like a jacket. I loveeee the colour and it's pairs perfectly with the neutral colours of the dress.

You can shop this whole look at Wasted Fashion. Anddddd spring styles are 50% off - Eeee!!!

I am SO SO SO excited to announce that I'm working with Wasted FashionThis cute boutique carries one of a kind high fashion, edgy, chic pieces and is located downtown here in Fredericton!! Christin, who owns the boutique approached me about this partnership and it can't be more perfect.

I'll be blogging looks from Wasted fashion every month, so keep an eye out for those. What I love about Wasted Fashion, is that the pieces that Christin picks to bring in are pieces that I would love to buy and wear. It's so important that I'm authentic, no matter what I'm blogging - so the looks that I'm wearing are perfectly me and my style.

Saint Andrews

Because why not?

Saint Andrews is one of my favourite places and day trips are also my fav. Who doesn't love a good roadtrip?! Karen, Alix, Lorne, Margie, Denise, Michaella, and I travelled first to Minister's Island and then we ventured into Saint Andrews.

A few things I learned about Minister's Island:

1. It's absolutely beautiful
2. If you decide to take a shortcut through any kind of field, you'll come across a lot of s***
3. The island is MASSIVE

I had never been there before so it was super fun to explore and take photos. I ran alllll the way out to the ocean and it felt so good to be so close to the waves. It was so nice and sunny which made for a happy Kelsey.

We went to the Algonquin, took photos, saw a lot of dogs, looked at some art, took more photos, bought some candy, I pretended I was a TV studio host, bought way too much candy, ate fresh fries and drank cold cider, and ended the day with ice cream, (which was the size of my entire face). The drive back included lots of old school Taylor Swift - couldn't have asked for a better day.
