Self-Care Sunday

I love hotels. Every opportunity I get to stay in a hotel, I take. I love weekend getaways spent exploring and relaxing in hotels. They may just be my fav part of a trip. A few weeks ago, I spent my self-care Sunday at the Delta Fredericton. It was the perfect way to spend the day and the perfect self-care day. With graduation coming up and everything coming full circle, this is just what I needed.

The Delta Fredericton is one of the nicest hotels in the city, so I was super excited to collab with the Delta and spend the afternoon there. I spend a lot of summer days at the pool bar there, but this was my first experience in the actual hotel.

I asked two of my best gals, Kayley and Allie to join me. They’re both such an inspiration and great things happen when we’re all together. Allie was behind the camera and Kayley was doing some behind the scenes video.

When I first got there I went to the front desk and the staff were so nice. Super friendly and accommodating. We got up to our room it was so cute! The room was bright and the looked so minimalist and clean. The bathroom also had the best selfie lighting 🙊

Serious hotel goals here 🙌🏻

Ok, so for me a big part of going on a trip or weekend getaway is creating content. I love sharing my travels whether it’s a weekend away in a town close to home, or a trip across the country or down south. Honestly there is nothing more disappointing than a hotel that doesn’t look aesthetically pleasing. If the walls aren’t neutral and the room isn’t clean and modern I’m super let down. The Delta kills it when it comes to room aesthetic. I was super happy with how the room looked and couldn’t wait to start creating.

I love wearing my fav things on Sundays. This includes my calvins, oversized shirts and sometimes something cute to make me feel extra good. The comfy vibes of this room had me itching to get into my calvins. I love to start off any self-care day in them. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m so much more productive when I’m comfortable. I feel like I can conquer whatever tasks are on my to do list.

Another thing that goes hand in hand with the perfect self-care Sunday is feeling body positive.

This is something I’ve been working on and it’s been paying off. I'm really learning to love myself so I knew this blush pink bodysuit would be perfect for my day at the Delta.

ROBES. My world has been changed people. These are definitely a new fav when staying at hotels. I felt like a queen and I was so cozy!! I never used to take advantage of this before, but I will from now on… Thanks Delta ;)

I also love getting inspired and planning new project and shoots. A huge inspiration is Nasty Galaxy by Sophia Amaruso

You need this book if you love everything instagram/creating/empowering/inspiring/girlboss.

After we were done with some self-care time in our room, we headed down to the pool. It’s March, I’m in Canada. It’s cold. So I couldn’t wait to get down to the pool. I love when it feels like summer in March and the pool was so nice! It wasn’t too packed either, so that was nice.

I put on my new kini from Nora Swimwear and I love it so much. The high waisted bottoms make me feel like I’m in the 90s (one of the best feelings) and it’s inspired by Greece – one of my fav places/dream destinations on the map.

Thanks so much Delta Fredericton for hosting me for the perfect self-care Sunday – I’ll be back.
